September 16, 2008 No need for a grocery trip if you dive into the pantry and see what you can find. This morning's raid gave me two recipes. My first shot at homemade crackers (Rosemary & Parmesan) and a can of chickpeas that turned into hummus. Both are perfect blank canvases to add most any flavor you are craving or whatever you have on hand. Hummus is an standby snack of mine, and I've added anything from garlic or sundried tomatoes to roasted red peppers. This time I kept it simple with a little bit of garlic.
